🌩️ Canon Ef 24 105 Ii Review
They aren’t very similar in weight and size. The EF 24-70/2.8 L mk ii PLUS the EF-RF basic adapter weighs 915g and is 137mm long. The RF 24-105/4 L weighs 700g and is 107mm long. This is quite a difference (half a pound and 1.2 inches) so if size matters to you, take this into consideration.
It is fair to add that the AF in 24-105/4L II is not any slower. Regarding DOF the 24-105 provides more background blur at 105/4 then the 24-70 at 70/2.8. So deciding between these two is really not about which is better (both are equally very good) but how the lens will be used. Canon_Guy's gear list:
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM Lens Review. Everyone loves the 24-105mm f/4L IS version I lens. At least it seems that way. This lens has been a significant part of a very high number of amateur, enthusiast and professional kits.
There’s little to choose between this lens and the directly competing Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM Art, in terms of image quality and all-round performance. One major difference is that the Canon lens features weather-seals, which are lacking in the Sigma, and the Canon edges ahead for edge-sharpness.
The optical formula employs 17 elements in 13 groups. Canon includes two aspherical elements and an ultra-low dispersion (UD) element to encourage sharpness and clarity, while ‘advanced’ coatings are used to keep flare at bay. Canon EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM review – Build and handling
When I bought my 7D in 2010, I knew I didn't wanted buy a kit lens. By in large, most people who buy DSLRs get the kit lens. I instead bought the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II and EF 50mm f/1.4. I tried out the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS but was not impressed with the full-stop difference compared to my 17-55mm and 70-200mm.
The EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM is too much money compared to this one. And if you're thinking about EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM, you might as well buy the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM, and get a bigger tele zoom.
We’ve seen launches of such devices as the Canon EF 24-70 mm f/4L IS USM and the cheaper Canon EF 24-105 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM. Despite that fact Canon considered 11 years a stretch of time long enough to withdraw their lens from the market and in August 2016 they presented its successor, the Canon EF 24-105 mm f/4L IS II USM.
Model Overview. The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM lens provides exciting reults in a multipurpose lens. The lens is capable of capturing a range of subjects, ensuring confidence in every shot. Really struggling deciding between getting an RF 24-105 f/4 + RF 35 f/1.8 for bokeh/portraits, or instead, pony-ing up and getting an RF 24-70 f/2.8 + RF 70-200 f/2.8.
Normally, my camera is directly over the object. Currently, I am using a Sigma 28-105 Zoom lens. Often the zoom changes during the shot. The focus is stable. Somewhere I read that this happens often on zoom lens when they are pointed downward. Does anyone know if the Canon EF 24-105 f/4l IS USM Zoom lens is stable when used this was.
